Autumn is here and it’s back to school! For some, this means a return to the routine of college classes and for parents, the question “how are we going to pay for this”? Borrowers can actually request repayment of any payments made on student loans since loan forbearance began on March 13, 2020, according to the Federal Office for Student Aid. Your pre-pandemic amount would then be eligible for the new forgiveness plan, up to $10,000 in debt forgiveness ($20,000 for Pell Grant recipients).
